"0 kara Nougyou" (Farming from Scratch) is a project by a passionate farmer who took on the challenge of strawberry cultivation from the ground up.
Treat yourself to the fresh, juicy "Tochiaika" strawberries and feel the happiness in every bite!
Since this farm is not open to the general public, this experience is a special privilege exclusive to guests staying at Ki-to-Eda.

Nikko geta are a traditional craft of Tochigi Prefecture. It is said that they were originally created as footwear suitable for wearing when visiting Nikko Toshogu Shrine. This traditional craft experience offers the chance to learn the art of weaving zori sandals directly from skilled artisans who are dedicated to creating both beautiful and comfortable footwear. Enjoy this exclusive opportunity to learn in a small group setting, where you can truly immerse yourself in the history and traditions of Nikko.

Sake Brewing —A Special Moment to Experience the Story Through All Five Senses

At this historic brewery, which has been crafting sake alongside prayers for over 180 years since the Edo period, experience the moment when the “water of life” transforms into “mikiki” (sacred sake).
This tour takes you through areas normally accessible only to the brewery staff and includes exclusive tastings available only on this tour.

Savor steaming rice cooked in a clay pot, pickles, and seasonal miso soup—a moment to truly appreciate the richness of Nikko’s culinary heritage.
Why not join us for a breakfast-making experience in the traditional home of a 400-year-old Nikko pickle shop, where you can discover the true richness of food? The 14th-generation owner of the pickle cellar will share insights into their carefully crafted pickles, as well as Nikko’s history and food culture. We are "0-kara-Nogyo," a team of two childhood friends, Sasaki and Miyamoto.
With zero experience and zero knowledge of farming, we started a strawberry farm in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture.
Supported by the local community, we are challenging ourselves to build our fields and grow our strawberries from scratch.
We are working hard together every day to deliver strawberries that are "glossy and delicious!"
